We apologize if you experience an ad while watching. YouTube imposed it because of the Loy Krathong song used in the update...
Happy Loy Krathong!!!!
Loy Krathong, which translates to “floating banana tree trunk,” is a festival where people gather along Thailand’s riverbanks to float banana trunks. The banana trunks (Krathong) are typically shaped like a lotus and decorated with flowers, incense, candles, personal items, etc.
Many people also believe that floating Krathong is a symbolic way to brush off bad luck, let go of anger or grudges, and cleanse misdoings and misfortunes from the past to start anew and free of negative feelings.
Loy Krathong is celebrated on the 12th full moon of the Thai lunar calendar. Therefore, the date can change every year depending on the full moon. It usually falls at the end of the rainy season or in the month of November. This year, Loy Krathong took place on the evening of Friday, November 15.

The Thai government has decided to add three special public holidays for 2025 and 2026, bringing the total number of official holidays to 21 for next year. These extra days are intended to make existing holiday periods longer.
The first new holiday will be on Monday, June 2, 2025. This will extend the break from May 31 to June 3, connecting it to the Queen’s Birthday festivities.
Another new holiday will be on Monday, August 11, 2025, providing a four-day break from August 9 to August 12 in honor of National Mother’s Day. The last added holiday is on Friday, January 2, 2026. This will create a five-day holiday from December 31, 2025, to January 4, 2026, to celebrate the New Year.
Pilotless Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) Takes Flight in Thailand's Skies
Over three days, spectators watched in awe as the EH216-S soared above Thai airspace, equipped with the necessary Demonstration Flight Permit from CAAT. The aircraft's ability to carry passengers without the need for traditional runways presents a promising solution to alleviate Thailand's notorious traffic woes and efficiently link its numerous islands.
Endorsed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), this advancement could revolutionize urban mobility for both tourists and locals, offering a novel way to navigate Thailand's urban landscapes and picturesque islands.
EHang’s EH216-S is currently the world’s only eVTOL with airworthiness certificates, and we look forward to its commercial flight operations in certain areas of Thailand next year.
